I can’t tell you how excited I was when a new grocery store opened up near me and I learned that they sold spices in bulk.  I was on cloud nine!!  And even though none of my spices needed replenishing, I still had to go and check it out. (more…)

It’s funny that I start thinking of back to school around this time of year.  Only funny because I don’t have kids that are school age yet, so really, there is no back to school here at our house.  But I see the ads on tv, see the aisles of the stores crowded with pencils and notebooks, and that back to school feeling is immediately brought over me.  (more…)

Summer time to me means camping - spending time in the great outdoors.  And here in Utah, there are so many amazing places to go and beautiful sites to see.  But ever since I was a kid, one thing I always got excited about when we camped was the food.  Camping food was always so exciting to me.  (Plus, as a kid, that was the only time we really got to eat junk food!!) If you’ve ever grown your own zucchini, you will know that one plant gives you more than enough of the vegetable to keep you busy all summer long!  I always know when zucchini is in season, because my plant will start giving me 3 or 4 zucchini a week.  And right now, I think I have almost 10 of them waiting to be used!
